I'm actually so sad to hear it's closed, the location was good, service was good, food was delicious, best broths. It will definitely be missed especially now with the cold weather coming up. You can eat an enormous amount of food for relatively cheap per person, It will definitely be missed, I've been here so so many times.

My favorite and go-to hotpot in Chinatown. It's a different experience with the meats and vegetables in skewers. Fresh ingredients. Good sauces selection. It comes with double broth pots so you can have spicy and non spicy. Can accommodate large groups. There are TVs all around so you dine alone or with a group. Well ventilated so it's not stuffy. Fun for all ages. It's a BYOB. The waitstaffs are very personable .. I frequent this place so often that they know me by name and already have shot glasses ready so my soju.

The dining area's tidy and clean, with different settings to accommodate different sizes of groups. The mural type drawings on the wall made it look so cool and authentic. Servers kept refilling the plates with sooooooo many options for us to grab. The plates all had clear labels so we would what we were going to taste. Tableside service was also quite attentive. We were impressed. Highly recommend the nonalcoholic Er Guo Tou soda. It smelt very close to the traditional Chinese alcoholic yet you won't get drunk with it, but more fun with friends!

The two of us made reservations for dinner here at 6pm on a Saturday evening but it wasnt necessary as there were plenty of tables to go around. Each ingredient you want to add to your hot pot has two skewer to it. They charge by the stick counts and plates, not by head. You order your broth, meats, drinks, and specialty from your phone. All the other ingredients (veggies, tofu, noodles, etc) are self-serve - they have fridges in the back for you to get. They also have a spice section for you to add your sauces. Felt it was a bit pricey but hot pot was good. It is modern inside. A lot of it is self service which we didnt mind.

***Low price warning: $0.40 PER SKEWER*** What food is good for the fall season? HOTPOT! There were lines everywhere at all the hotpot places in Chinatown, and my girlfriend and I ended up at Mrs Gu Skewers Hot Pot. It is located at the end of Chinatown (Old part). Food - 5/5 Both skewer and hot pot at this place are great! -Skewer: We ordered one beef skewer and chicken wings. They put the right amount of seasoning and they just cooked them right. -- Hot pot: You can order the soup base and meat from the menu. All other skewers are available at the back of the restaurant fridge area). Soup bases are great, we ordered a combo: spicy (Light) & tomato. Service - 5/5 our waitress kept up with our water very well, which is crucial, especially when you are having spicy food. it might be confusing to understand the price of the food in the fridge the first time you are there. Our waitress answered all our questions well. Ambiance - 3/5 The environment is fine, similar to all the other restaurants in Chinatown. Price - 5/5 No doubt for 5-stars. $0.40 per skewer is the gem of this restaurant. Prices are fair for both hot pot and skewer.
